Hey friends! Welcome to Must-Have Monthly, the monthly post dedicated to one item I just don’t want to be without.
Looking for a tried and true product, service or thingamajob that makes your life better, simpler and just that much more fantastic?! I’ve got a few of those in my life and who would I be if I didn’t share their awesomeness with you.

You know what I hate in my ground beef more than anything? Hamburger PATTIES. Because if I felt like eating a hamburger patty, I’d put one on a bun! When I’m eating ground beef, I want it ground. Crazy, right?
Then I heard about this gem. The Mix N Chop from Pampered Chef. It’s everything I didn’t know I needed.
Why is the Pampered Chef Mix N Chop a must-have?
This thing obliterates ground meat with little effort.
The handle is soft and ergonomic, allowing a strong and comfortable grip. No worry of slip when I’m breaking up my meat into ground up pieces. The pinwheel design allows for max obliteration with each fell swoop. Or pound of the handle.
Sure, it can get a little noisy has I pound away at dinner, but the evenly ground meat that results is so worth it.
I used to use a flat wooden spoon. It got the job done, but plenty of time was spent chasing little patties around the pan while the thin, flat edge of the wooden spatula pushed the meat around.
Check out my Mix N Chop. I’ve had it for about 10 years, I think. It gets used almost weekly (we eat a lot of Tater Tot Casserole). And the sad, sad wooden spatula that I used to use. Why haven’t I tossed that yet?!
Do you need more details?
It’s made of durable black plastic. Each of the 5 pinwheeled blades have a beveled edge. The handle is soft which allows for a solid grip as you pound your ground beef into ground beef.
It’s dishwasher safe and heat resistant up to 428 degrees F. Yes, there’s a spot of melt on mine. Nope, I have no idea where it came from. It wasn’t me!
You can also use this to chop lettuce or shred cooked chicken and pork.
Are there any downsides?
II have no complaints. Not a one.
Ok, I complain when my husband doesn’t use it. He likes chunks. And I also know that doesn’t count as a product complaint.
